My career began in the nonprofit world at a local food bank, where I gained a deep appreciation for the power of food to connect and sustain communities. I learned how to build a social media following from scratch and streamlined the content creation process.

I spent a year working in higher education at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I was introduced to website design. During this time, I also researched social media trends and implemented SEO strategies to optimize blog content for better visibility and engagement.

I spent three years with the largest vegetable commodity board, promoting one of the most versatile and beloved foods—potatoes! This experience solidified my love for working with food and introduced to me a variety of new marketing skills - strategy development, e-mail marketing, a brand-new ambassador program, and influencer marketing.

In 2024, through reflection and deep personal growth, I concluded that my strengths—being a creative, and big-picture thinker—were better suited for freelancing.
